A Timeless Kitchen for All the Family in Flackwell Heath

After months of missed appointments, no-shows, or companies that could do part of a job but not all of it, she finally approached KBS.

“It was like the answer to my prayers,” she said. “At last I’d found a reputable company that had been established for years, had an excellent reputation and the capability to do everything from the design to the fit. I just do not have time to be sourcing tradesmen myself!

“It was also great to find a company that caters for all budgets, previously I was worried about how much I would have to do myself in order to keep within my budget but with KBS, I have found the look I want at the right price.”

Once Helen had discovered KBS, the progress was incomparable. “KBS came in and measured up on a Monday. On the Wednesday we had suggested options and pricing. We chose what we wanted, and it was scheduled for 5 weeks later. Eight days after that – it was done!”

Helen and husband Keith had strong ideas about what they wanted, but were guided by designer Sue Birch. With a brief to design a ‘timeless kitchen that wouldn’t age’ (as the couple know they will move eventually, they wanted ‘saleability’ built in), initial ideas of gloss units were changed to something more conventional. “But,” says Helen, “We all agreed that a neutral palette was the best way to ensure it fits with somebody else’s taste in the future”.

The fit went smoothly, overseen by Sue. The couple simply left their keys with KBS, and work continued on a daily basis without a hitch. Out went the old tired kitchen, plaster was made good, radiators moved and the new units installed.

And now? The couple and their 21-year-old son are delighted.

“It’s a big space, where we all want to hang out now,” says Helen. “This new kitchen has created a seamless transition to the conservatory – it all pulls together and looks as if it’s in the same home. We absolutely love our new family space.”
