A Social Family Kitchen In Buckinghamshire
This was the case for Charlie and Becky from Buckinghamshire, who love their home but wanted to put their own stamp on it after a few years of living there.
The ideal opportunity came when they decided to extend the property to create a larger kitchen and social area, so they contacted KBS on the recommendation of several neighbours who had used us before.
“We didn’t try any other company,” says Charlie. “We’d seen the quality of KBS’ work and knew they were professional and reliable, so it was just a case of taking inspiration from the ideas in the showroom. We loved the different choices of finish and the configurations, so we handed the project over to the designer Chris, with just a few requests and left it to him.”
Over the next couple of months, the plans changed a few times to fit in with changes in the build but ultimately everything was approved. The fit took approximately two weeks, and now they are the proud owners of a kitchen that’s not only more to their taste but much more ergonomic and of a far superior quality.
“The difference between our old kitchen and the new Mackintosh is like chalk and cheese – we absolutely love it,” says Charlie. “My favourite bits are the ledge behind the hob which is really useful for storage and the island. We were always a sociable family but this has given a real focal point to the kitchen. I also have to mention the Siemens appliances too – absolutely superb – a perfect finish to the whole room and we couldn’t be happier.”
