A Light and Bright Kitchen That Delights

“As the trees have got bigger, the light has got less,” says Mrs M. “All in all, we really needed to brighten up the whole room, so we called in KBS.”

The couple had heard good reports on KBS from both their neighbours, and friends, so it was simply a matter of sitting down with designer Chris, and fine-tuning their ideas to fit the room. “We knew we wanted the simplicity of Shaker units,” she explains, “but Chris suggested adding in a bit of interest with a couple of design features. We also liked the storage ideas suggested too – more drawers and fewer deep cupboards make all the difference.”

A schedule of works was allotted, allowing for a two-week timeframe for the Corian templates to be drawn up for the work surface/sink areas. There was also time built in to allow for any later than planned deliveries, and then ultimately, the flooring to be laid.

“Everything ran to plan,” says Mrs M. “The entire job from taking out the first unit, to applying the last lick of paint, took no more than 6 weeks, and KBS came in at every stage to ensure quality control. We’re delighted with the end result. We always used the kitchen a lot before, but now it’s a real pleasure to be in here now. Thank you KBS.”
