Add a Touch of Glamour to Your Kitchen With Metallics

Kitchens often include bright shiny appliances but we are seeing a move towards softer metallics with the introduction of copper, brass and rose gold.

We are finding that adding metallic to a design, in a feature such as an island, for example, works well. These new metallics complement natural materials, so adding to a soft wood grain for example is a great match. When used in this way, they add a dramatic focal point to a design and make a stunning centrepiece, helping to bring individuality to a room.

Metallics are warm and tactile but can also be rich, adding a touch of luxury, which is another reason why they work so well when used sparingly. Other ways to introduce it to the kitchen include via a worktop, choose one that has a burnished finish, or a splashback, not just behind the cooker but maybe a feature wall.

Many other kitchen products are now available in a range of metallics, sinks and taps for example. Franke offer a selection of contemporary sinks in two glorious Copper finishes, Gold and Grey, as well as a Sterling Silver option.

Kholer have some beautiful Brushed Bronze taps that will give an instant designer look to your kitchen.

Lighting is another good way to add a splash of metallic. There are lots of stunning Bronze and Copper pendant lights that are perfect for the kitchen. These can be enhanced by adding Copper accessories, a kettle and toaster for example.

Changing your small accessories is a great way to update the look of your kitchen, helping to keep it fresh for longer.

If you are loving the metallic look, why not call in and speak with one of our talented designers, they can help you bring a touch of glamour into your home, which is also modern and elegant.
